Birthday Time

It's almost June and that means I have two birthdays coming up at my house.  I LOOOOOVE Birthdays so much.  I love to have big parties for my kids and love to watch their extreme joy when I hit the nail on the head.

In preparation for the celebrations coming up we have been talking about what they want for their special days.

Since we like to keep things simple, I always make the kids cakes.  We have been checking out Betty Crocker's website and looking at all the great cakes.

Seth, as you saw in the video, wants a How to Train Your Dragon party.  We couldn't find a dragon cake, but did find the dinosaur cake and I can add one more head to it and then it will be perfect!

Amelia wants a Princess party.  I love how simple this cake is, but how glamorous it looks.

They are both so excited about their birthdays, and now that I have detailed instructions on how to make these cakes, I am too!

The great folks at Betty Crocker want to help you put on a special birthday party too!!  Go over to their site and check out all of the cake options.  Come back here and tell me which cake you would want to make.  They will send 1 lucky winner everything you need to make the cake!

That's all you have to do to win.

Of course if you want another chance to win you can tweet about it too!

Contest will end on May 31 at 9 PM MDT when I choose a winner at random.

Good luck!

*This post is sponsored by My Blog Spark and Betty Crocker.  They sent me a Flip Video Camera (to take those adorable videos of my kiddos), a $100 AMEX Gift Card to do the parties and coupons for free cake mix and frosting.

  1. Oh my.. The barn with the animal cupcakes.. HOW FREAKING CUTE!!!
    I pick that one..

(and whole awesome prize score, you!) :)

  2. I love this! I didn't know that they had so much info on their website. My son would flip out if I baked the Robot cake for him.

P.S. Your kids are straight up adorable.

  3. I've seen other fun cake sites, but this one is awesome too. I was looking at the outerspace one with a space shuttle cake. My kids would love that (especially after we go to NASA this summer)

  4. My son would love the trains. My daughter would love the farm. How can you pick just one?

  5. I would like to make the Flower Cupcakes! They are so cute!

  6. The barn with animal cupcakes is too cute!! My little guy will be 2 in August and I'm thinking about a helicopter/airplane theme.

  7. LOVE the dinosaur cake, it's adorable. And I had a princess cake just like that when I was little.

  8. I would do the lego style cake. I think they called it the building block cake. soooo coool!

  9. Since I have 3 girls, the pink castle cake would be very awesome. But I would LOVE to make the barn cake. It is too cute. :)

  10. I'm pretty sure I need to make the "Old MacDonald" cake for my 2-year-old nephew. So cute!!!

  11. there are lots of cute cakes! i am trying to think of a theme for my son's upcoming birthday in july, he loves stars, so maybe the rocket ship cake (from the stargazer party) with the star studded celebration cupcakes!

Thanks for leaving your thoughts with me.
